Blackpool Congress will be used to assess young players as follows, under the auspices of Peter Purland, Chairman of EPSCA:
a/ The congress will be used as a junior squad trial for players over 11 years of age and under 16 (Y7-11). All sections will count as a half norm qualifier for all players of the correct age. Players will play in their normal section as per grade. A score of 2.5/4 plus half point bye or 3/5 will qualify for the half norm.
b/ The congress will also count as an Under 11's EPSCA trial to be held at Liverpool College April 22nd & 23rd. (Y5 and 6 only) Scores as above to count.
